ABOUT THE FOUNDER

Caroline Avakian

Caroline Avakian is the creator of Memoirs app and has worked for over 15 years as a nonprofit communications director, consultant, international speaker on leveraging digital communications for global development, and award-winning social entrepreneur. As a former Emmy-nominated TV correspondent, Caroline also bring a unique approach to capturing great stories and most importantly, asking the right questions.

Caroline has presented and taught communications and social media trainings to NGOs and nonprofits from all over the world, as well as at the United Nations, Google, and Twitter, among others. She has worked in India, Central America, the Middle East and in East African refugee camps where she has taught storytelling workshops. She has been featured in the New York Times, CNN, The Today Show, Forbes, Poynter, Huffington Post, and New Latina.
